FOX Picks Up ‘Mobbed’ After Premiere

(NewsCore) – LOS ANGELES — FOX Broadcasting ordered eight episodes of Howie Mandel’s reality TV show “Mobbed” Friday after the show’s Thursday premiere struck ratings gold, Deadline reported.

The program, which features a flash mob — a large group of dancers and singers that show up at places at the spur-of-the-moment — that surprises unsuspecting participants, attracted nearly 11 million total viewers.

In the series’ debut, producers helped a nervous man named Jason propose to his girlfriend of three years and then staged a subsequent surprise wedding, moments after his shocked flame, Nikki, said “yes.”

Rappers Mourn Nate Dogg At Funeral

(NewsCore) – LONG BEACH, Calif. — West Coast rappers Snoop Dogg, The Game and Warren G were among the mourners Saturday at the funeral for the late hip-hop star Nate Dogg, held at the Queen Mary Dome in Long Beach, Calif., TMZ reported.

Dogg, whose real name was Nathaniel D. Hale, died March 15 at the age of 41 after battling health problems for several years.

He had previously survived strokes in 2007 and 2008, and was wheelchair-bound, paralyzed and speechless at the time of his death.

Nate Dogg had collaborated with Snoop Dogg, The Game and Warren G before his death, as well as Eminem, Dr.

Sheen in Talks to Return to CBS

(NewsCore) – Charlie Sheen and CBS are reportedly close to a deal that would see the actor return to “Two and a Half Men,” sources said Monday.

“CBS has offered him his job back. Discussions ongoing. Not a done deal,” NBC reporter Jeff Rossen tweeted Monday, citing sources close to Sheen.

Earlier Monday, reports circulated that CBS president and CEO, Les Moonves, was working to bring the wayward actor back to the hit show after the comedy’s production company had given Sheen the boot in early March.

Moonves was determined to bring the hit show back and was in discussions with Warner Bros.

(CANVAS STAFF REPORTS) – Britney Spears graces the cover of V Magazine’s spring edition and opens up about fame, motherhood, her music and her new album “Femme Fatale” which will be released on March 29.

It was only a few years ago that Spears found herself in the headlines for partying and erratic behavior, but now she tells V Magazine that she is back and “better than ever!”

Her statement could not be more spot on.

The magazine reported that with her first single off of the “Femme Fatale” album, ” Hold It Against Me ,” reaching number one in 19 countries within hours of its’ release, Spears is proving she still has what it takes to make music that people keep want.

And the pop singer said that it is the “best album [she's] ever made.”

When Spears said that when she is not entertaining her fans, she embraces motherhood by cooking – she makes a “mean sweet tea” – and spending time with her boys, five-year-old Sean and four-year-old Jayden.
