Kentucky Derby: Kate Walsh, Jordin Sparks turn out for race day

A packed Churchill downs awaited the start of the running of the Kentucky Derby on Saturday (May 7). As usual, celebrities were on hand to lend a little Hollywood magic to the Louisville, Ky., event.

Former “American Idol” contestant Jordin Sparks (above) attended in a somewhat understated white hat. Meanwhile, “Private Practice’s” Kate Walsh opted for a stiff black straw number with a single bird feather.
