Dead man ‘Walking’
Expect the second season of “The Walking Dead” to be even more scary.
So warns actor Jon Bernthal, who co-stars as Shane Walsh on the monster hit AMC series (tonight at 9).
“We’re a zombie show. We’re an apocalypse show, but we don’t wink at the audience,” Bernthal told the Herald in a telephone interview from Atlanta, where the show films.
That’s an understatement. In last week’s premiere, one child went missing and another was shot.
“There’s no part of us that’s trying to be cute or campy,” the Washington, D.C., native said. “It’s a really intense show.”

Loretta Lynn was hospitalized for pneumonia over the weekend.
The 76-year-old country legend, who is in the early stages of the illness, was forced to cancel tour dates in Ashland, Ky. and Durham, N.C. on Saturday and Sunday. Both shows will be rescheduled.
Loretta Lynn Enterprises posted a statement on her website Saturday night that confirmed the cancellations due to illness.

A FORMER Australia’s Got Talent contestant accused of spitting on a Brisbane hairdresser intends to fight an assault charge in court.
Anne Elizabeth Ferguson-Howe faced one charge of common assault in Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning.
The 51-year-old stand-up comedian from Thornlands, on Brisbane’s bayside, did not enter a plea but told reporters outside court she intended to dispute the facts of the case.
“I don’t spit, I swallow,” she said.
It is alleged the mother-of-two spat at prominent Brisbane hairdresser Carole Haddad, after she was asked to pay extra on her bill on August 26 this year. N
Miley Cyrus’ Brother Engaged to Girlfriend Brenda Song, Report Says
Trace Cyrus, the rocker older brother of Miley Cyrus, is engaged to Disney actress Brenda Song, who is reportedly pregnant with the couple’s child.
“I am very excited to say, last week I asked my girlfriend Brenda Song to marry me and she said YES! We are both very excited to be engaged!” Cyrus, 22, tweeted Friday.
The pair began dating in May 2010 and this August, it was rumored that Song, 23, was pregnant but neither have confirmed the news.
Earlier this week Song alluded to some good news when she tweeted, “My stomach is full of excitement! Big plans… big plans.
