Alex Trebek’s Hotel Invader Restrained
Good news for Alex Trebek‘s Achilles tendon: His Achilles’ heel has been restrained.
A two-time convicted burglar who was arrested for allegedly stealing cash, jewelry and other items from the Jeopardy! host’s San Francisco hotel room has been ordered to stay at least 150 yards away from Trebek and his wife.
So, Lucinda Moyers won’t personally be bringing him flowers after his operation then.
Appearing on crutches yesterday at Google headquarters in Mountain View, Calif., to host the National Geographic World Championship, Trebek related his tale of waking up to find Moyers in his room that morning and chasing her down the hall, only to fall “in an ignominious heap to the carpeting” when his right Achilles tendon ruptured.
He’s scheduled to undergo surgery Friday and is expected to be in a cast for six weeks.
“We got most of our stuff back, except the one piece of jewelry that I ever wear,” Trebek, 71, told the Bay Area’s KGO-TV.

Aguilera and Gomez leads ALMA nomination
LOS ANGELES – Christina Aguiler and Selena Gomez are the leading nominees for the ALMA Awards, which honor the artistic accomplishments of Latinos in music, television and film.
The National Council of La Raza announced the nominations Thursday.
Aguilera and Gomez are each up for three awards for their work in music and on the big and small screens.
Jennifer Lopez and “Glee” star Naya Rivera have two nominations each.
For the first time, fans are being invited to help choose the winners by voting online.
Winners will be determined by fan votes; box-office, Nielsen and Billboard rankings; and the ALMA Awards production team.
The ALMA Awards will be presented Sept.
