Hip-Hop festival begins next week in DC
WASHINGTON – The annual Hip-Hop Theater Festival is returning to Washington for its 10th year.
The festival begins July 11 and continues for a week with events at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage, the 930 Club and the Arena Stage, among other places.
The events include an art exhibition, dance instruction and benefit concert.

Steelers’ Ward Denies Drunk Driving
(NewsCore) – DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — NFL star and reigning “Dancing With the Stars” champion Hines Ward was arrested Saturday morning after allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, TMZ reported.
The Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver was taken into custody after being picked up in DeKalb County, Ga.
The site carried the mug shot of the 35-year-old two-time Super Bowl champion following his arrest. He was apparently released after posting $1,000 bond.
Later Saturday, Ward’s manager denied that the football player was driving under the influence.
“He cooperated fully with the police and truthfully answered all of their questions,” Andrew Ree told TMZ.
