Courtney Love Wins Fight with Fire
(NewsCore) – A curtain in Courtney Love’s New York townhouse went up in flames early Thursday, prompting her to scramble to put it out while suffering a minor burn to her hand, fire department sources said.
Firefighters were called to Love’s four-story brick building in Manhattan’s West Village at 1:52am local time, sources said.
The small blaze was brought under control after about an hour.
The 46-year-old Love, who was once married to deceased Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, did not need to go to a hospital for her injuries.
Fire officials are now investigating the cause of the fire.
Probation Report: Lindsay Lohan Just Won’t Change
Lindsay Lohan‘s probation officer thinks she’s a spoiled brat and asked the court to lock her up in jail — because she wouldn’t change her partying ways.
The probation report which was submitted to Judge Stephanie Sautner … indicates Lindsay failed an alcohol test on June 13 — the day after she was seen partying on her rooftop deck in Venice, Ca.
It also states Lindsay refused two prior narcotics tests — on May 31 and June 2 — and passed another on June 9.

Winehouse Cancels Dates After Bad Show
(NewsCore) – A representative for British singer Amy Winehouse said Sunday that she has canceled some dates on her European tour after giving a disastrous performance on the tour’s opening night in Serbia, TMZ reported.
A representative for Winehouse said concerts scheduled for Monday in Istanbul and Wednesday in Athens had been canceled because the singer realized “she cannot perform to the best of her ability.”
Serbian daily newspaper Blic described Winehouse’s Saturday night performance as “the worst in the history of Belgrade.”
The singer, who has struggled with drug and alcohol issues for several years, appeared intoxicated during the concert, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
SNL’s Fred Armisen Advises High School Grads to Stay Unique
Graduation speeches are usually full of motivational quotes and wisdom.
But when Fred Armisen is your commencement speaker, you get all that and some laughs!
The Portlandia star spoke at a high school graduation in—yes, you guessed it—Portland, at the Oregon Episcopal School this past weekend.
He started off by recognizing practically everybody that could be in the room, and of course didn’t want to be rude, so he also addressed the Royal family (just in case they happened to catch this clip).
We also find out that the Saturday Night Live comic only took the job because he would (kind of, but not really) look like he’s riding on an eagle.
And since the graduating class was slightly under 80 students, Armisen used this as an opportunity to point out individual students’ close calls leading up to graduation, such as using the wrong verb in Spanish or having a book still checked out in the library.
We’re sure they were grateful for that little reminder, Fred.
